Sugarloaf Update

We just finished up our annual Sugarloaf hill camp. The camp was shorter this year but just as effective, I thought. At the end of every summer block we make the journey from the County down to Sugarloaf in Western Maine to find some more rugged terrain.
The first day, we did L3 intervals from the bottom of the access road up to the base lodge and then up a wicked steep condo access to the finish - roughly a 17 minute trek.
The second day, we double poled from Stratton (just north of Sugarloaf) to Rangeley and back again.
We had a few more days in between with distance and speeds, but our last day there we had a great bounding workout up the mountain. The workout is pretty much the same every year, 8x3min L4, so I like to see if I can make it further up the mountain than last year. I was shooting for the top this year, but I only made it to the last crosscut. Maybe next year.

Kris Freeman was in Maine for the camp, which was great. Its awesome to have someone pushing the pace and showing me how the best in the world train.
